Ordination is not something that we in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church take lightly. At Hernando Presbyterian Church, our officers are expected to conduct themselves with unreproachable decorum in the church and the community, to exhibit not only Biblical knowledge, but also Godly wisdom and a fervent desire to see others built up in faith and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Pastors (or Teaching Elders) must be educated to the level of a Masters Degree in Divinity, or the equivalent thereof, which is considered to be ninety or more semester hours of seminary work at the Masters and/or Doctoral level. Our Teaching Elders also are expected to lead lives which would commend Christ to the world around them, as well as to maintain the highest standards with respect to their doctrinal purity, Biblical knowledge, and skill in exegesis and exposition of the Holy Scriptures. For more information, please visit the websites of our General Synod www.arpsynod.org and Presbytery www.mvparp.org ... Note: Mr. David Heuer, one of our Ruling Elders, went home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2007.
